THE TEAM

Sarah Routliffe

Picture
Sarah Routliffe has 10+ years experience working in recreational and community development. Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Communication Studies & a minor in Theatre Studies. As an undergraduate student, she worked both as a special needs worker with the City of Ottawa and with the Jack Purcell Recreation Association (JPRA) as a children’s program counsellor. She worked her way up from a counsellor in the After School Program with JPRA to become the Children's and Youth Programs Coordinator, growing the program significantly during her time as the coordinator. In 2017, based on Sarah's success with children's and youth programs, she was promoted to the newly created position of General Manager for the Association. As the GM, she was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of JPRA, program delivery and development and for all personnel--both staff and contractors. Most recently, Sarah has transitioned into her current position of Executive Director, where she plans to move the organization forward from a strategic standpoint. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys                                                               playing tennis, running, dining out with family and friends, and spending time with Henry--her cat.

Aldo Bravo is our resident part time Fitness Coordinator and he has held that position with JPRA since 2012. Aldo started with us in the JPRA fitness program as the Monday evening step/cardio instructor, which was the only type of class he taught early in his fitness instruction. Over the years, Aldo has expanded his program range to include cardio circuit, Tabata, interval training, and weight, strength training. He encourages his participants to challenge themselves and to move their intensity level up in each class!
