Meet Leah Sheridan, JPRA’s new Children and Youth Programs Coordinator!
We are very pleased to officially introduce Leah to our JRPA family. Born and raised in Ottawa, Leah has been able to experience all that this beautiful city has to offer. Leah completed her bachelor’s degree at Carleton University majoring in psychology and sociology. Leah’s passion for working with kids started at the young age of 16 when she first started working with kids. This passion has stayed with her throughout her life and continues to grow with her every day. She was able to put this passion to good use in many different positions throughout her career, working at pools, sport drop-in centers, after school programs, LIT programs, and much more. Her drive and ambition have led her to her new position as our Children and Youth Programs Coordinator.
A kid at heart, Leah, is most excited about using her creative passions to cultivate new and exciting programs for the kids at JPRA. She loves being a part of all the fun traditions that JPRA has, such as the annual Haunted House Halloween party. The uplifting and inspiring environment that JPRA provides is one she is excited to be a part of.
The Future of JPRA Leah’s vision is to adapt to the needs to the community and respond to what they want within JPRAS programs. She wants to continue to provide amazing and affordable programs that both the kids and adults are excited about. Cultivating partnerships with people from the community who have a passion that they want to share is something she hopes to facilitate in her new passion. She wants to introduce meaningful programs that address issues kids today are facing, such as bullying, consent, and mental health.
We could not be more excited to have her on our team.
