Introduction to ASL, inclusion and access, and Deaf culture
In this class, students will focus on ASL basic words, introductions, Deaf culture lessons and how we as hearing people can examine inclusion and access in our lives and the lives of others and what that means for the Deaf community. This class will be geared towards those with little to no ASL prior instructions as we will be focusing on the basics only. The goals will be to be more comfortable signing basic ASL conversationally.

About the Instructor
Sarah's family has a history of Deaf and hard of hearing and she knew giving her children growing up access to ASL would be a game changer. During the pandemic when everyone was wearing masks, she was confronted with how impactful having hearing loss was in her day to day life and since then she has learned while sharing ASL with my children, family, and community."
